FOLD: Golden Venture Paper Sculptures
This event has already occurred
Description
The Museum of the Chinese in America addresses immigration issues through the works of art created by the passengers from the Golden Venture, which ran aground in 1993 with nearly 300 undocumented Chinese immigrants aboard. Some 40 of the sculptures that the passengers created while detained at the York County Prison are in MOCA's collection and will be on display alongside recorded interviews with the immigrants and their supporters.
