Fritz Ascher: Expressionist
This event has already occurred
Description
This exhibition of 75 paintings is the first-ever retrospective of this often overlooked German artist who survived the Nazi era despite internment at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp in 1938. His early work showcases old myths, and his return to painting after 1945 produced a range of landscapes devoid of human figures that expressed his inner turmoil.
