Global Women in Music

In honor of International Women’s Day, the UN Symphony Orchestra and United Voices for Peace present a lineup of women composers in a concert paying tribute to the achievements of women around the world. Led by twin sisters and conductors Josefa and Esperanza Velasco, the performance will include diverse voices and talent from countries such as Afghanistan, Nigeria, Japan and Mexico. The concert serves to highlight the underrepresentation of women in the music industry and provide a platform for them to be heard and celebrated.
