Description
Beyond music and dance, hip-hop incorporates other media such as literature and graffiti. This exhibit, timed to honor the genre's 50th anniversary, showcases the work and collection of art historian Jack Stewart, who documented graffiti and its evolution as an advocacy tool and art form. Expect to see images of everything from "tags" to complex and detailed murals.
