Horton Technique Workshop with Lisa Johnson-Willingham

Learn Horton—the signature dance technique seen in many of Alvin Ailey’s works, including his masterpiece Revelations—from Lisa Johnson-Willingham, director of Ailey Extension and former Ailey dancer. This special workshop at the Whitney Museum of Art kicks off a series of beginner-friendly interactive sessions exploring various dance styles such as hip hop, vogue, West African, Latin Fusion and Broadway Jazz. It is part the Edges of Ailey programming series, which reflects the life, work and legacy of visionary artist Alvin Ailey.
