A new exhibit at the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration traces the history of the hot dog in honor of National Hot Dog month (June). Hot Out of the Melting Pot looks at the origins of this iconic American food through the histories of some of the most prominent hot-dog-producing companies. On the morning of the 28th, starting at 9:30am, there will be free hot dogs to celebrate the exhibition’s opening.
