Idiotarod NYC

Humans instead of huskies pull shopping carts through the City in this version of the annual Alaskan dog sled race. To participate, all you need is five people, your own cart and a bit of imagination, as team costumes and decoration are strongly encouraged—for inspiration, see last year’s participants. Those interested in joining the race should email the organizers in advance. If you just want to watch, you’ll have to wait until the day of the race when the secret route is announced via Twitter. Things get rolling around noon.
