In Praise of Painting: Dutch Masterpieces at the Met
This event has already occurred
Description
Works from the Dutch Golden Age—which covers the time of Rembrandt, Hals and Vermeer—make up a significant part of the Met Museum’s collection. This exhibition brings together around 65 of these 17th-century paintings, divided into themes such as the domestic lives of women, debates about religion and conspicuous consumption. Also expect to view rarely exhibited works like Margareta Haverman’s A Vase of Flowers.
