It’s Pablo-matic: Picasso According to Hannah Gadsby
This event has already occurred
Description
Fifty years after the artist’s death, the Brooklyn Museum presents this exhibition that examines his many works through a contemporary, feminist lens—led by Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby, who’s been known to criticize Picasso’s lack of female perspective in his artwork. The exhibition itself includes more than 100 pieces by Picasso along with female artists like Cecily Brown, Renee Cox, Marilyn Minter and Kiki Smith. Alongside Gadsby’s voice are those of the many artists included, who seek to wrestle with complex questions surrounding misogyny, creativity and artistic “genius.”
