Description
Brooklyn-born street photographer Jamel Shabazz began taking pictures at a very young age, many of them of people he knew or encountered while out in the City. His images of New Yorkers, particularly hip-hop figures in the 1980s, made him one of the most celebrated names in modern photography; see a decades-spanning collection of his work at the Bronx Documentary Center Annex.
