Description
The Juneteenth NY Parade is a celebration of Black culture, heritage and unity that features performances, cultural displays and community-driven festivities. Beyond entertainment, the parade provides a platform for supporting Black-owned businesses and artists. It also highlights the importance of African American history and encourages the ongoing fight for equality and civil rights. The parade, in Brooklyn's East New York neighborhood, starts at the Gotham Health Center on Belmont Avenue (meet at 8:30am; parade begins at 9:45am), marching down Pennsylvania Avenue and ending at Gershwin Park, where the festivities continue.
