Description
Though the official holiday is on June 19, New York City celebrates Juneteenth throughout the entire month. Some of the larger commemorations include events and programming at the New York Public Library’s various branches, the Juneteenth in Queens festival, Brooklyn’s Juneteenth NY Celebration and the Staten Island Juneteenth Freedom Festival at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Many of these events are free to attend.
