Description
Lehman Center for the Performing Arts recently acquired a Schimmel Grand Piano, customized with a colorful design by German artist Otmar Alt. The piano will be on display in the upstairs lobby—and used from time to time, once performances begin again. Alt’s style draws on influences like Joan Miró and Paul Klee, bringing a playful abstraction to the shell of the instrument.
