Description

Join the Lower Manhattan Historical Society at the Battery to celebrate Independence Day. Following an opening ceremony at 11:45 with the Veteran Corps of Artillery-State of New York’s Salute to the Nation near Castle Clinton, the Sprague Celtic Bagpipers will lead the parade. In addition to the March, the ceremonial reading of George Washington’s Newport letter will take place in front of Fraunces Tavern.
