Lorraine O’Grady: Both/And
This event has already occurred
Description
In conjunction with Women’s History Month, the museum presents a showcase of a dozen projects that conceptual artist Lorraine O’Grady produced over the past 40 years. Her late-blooming career took off in the 1980s and ’90s with her exploration of themes involving race, feminism, persona and the self, greatly influencing younger artists. This exhibition, the first retrospective of her work, includes pieces in the Sackler Center and elsewhere in the museum.
