Description

Los Soles Truncos (The Shattered Suns) is a classic Puerto Rican drama written by René Marqués. The play follows two elderly sisters living in their crumbling but grand family home in 19th-century San Juan, wrestling with their memories of personal loss and grief. Performed in Spanish with English subtitles, the story alludes to the effects of US intervention in Puerto Rico and its impact on cultural identity.
