Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty

New York City–based artist Marilyn Minter’s photography, paintings and videos are raw, emotional and sometimes controversial. This exhibition challenges the image of the female body as it is portrayed in popular American culture. Pretty/Dirty showcases more than four decades of Minter’s sensual, colorful works, from her earliest creations featuring pop art techniques up through her current-day pieces that question how the beauty industry manages to “manipulate desire through images.”
