Word and Image: Martin Luther's Reformation
This event has already occurred
Description
Although Martin Luther is a household name now, when he took on the Pope and the Holy Roman Emperor from a backwater town 500 years ago, he was just a monk. What has since become known as the Reformation completely altered the course of Western history. Pegged to the 500th anniverary of his posting the Ninety-Five Theses to Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany, this exhibit explores the use of the media available in Luther's time: printed books, prints, paintings and music. Imagine what he could have done with a hashtag!
