Modigliani Unmasked
This event has already occurred
Description
Italian Jewish painter and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani primarily worked out of Paris in the early 1900s, when anti-Semitism was still rampant. Responding to his social surroundings, Modigliani created a number of works that reflect how Jews were able to assimilate at the time. The exhibition presents approximately 150 of his paintings, sculptures and drawings, many of which are being shown for the first time in the US.
