New York City Poetry Festival

The Poetry Society of New York sponsors this annual festival that puts poetry center stage. More than 250 poets will perform live readings in Nolan Park on Governors Island throughout this weekend-long event. Along with an open mic and scheduled readings, the festival will also feature children’s poetry, the interactive Typewriter Project, food trucks and a bar where you can purchase refreshments from vendors like Brooklyn Brewery and Hubert’s Lemonade.
