New York Persian Parade

Description
The annual Persian Parade heads down Madison Avenue (the event starts at Madison and East 39th Street) to Madison Square Park. Timed to coincide with the ancient holiday of Nowruz—that is, the Persian New Year and the start of spring—the procession typically includes floats, music and traditional costumes. All are welcome to participate.
