Novenas for a Lost Hospital

In this multisite show, Cusi Cam's play Novenas for a Lost Hospital sets out to tell the 161-year history of St. Vincent's Hospital in the West Village. Using a cast of 12 actors and multiple locations in the Village, including the New York City AIDS Memorial, this unusual show stars Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit) as Saint Elizabeth Seton who guides the audience through the Catholic hospital's past, including caring for survivors of the Titanic, a 19th-century cholera epidemic and thousands of AIDS patients during the 1980s and 1990s.
