Description
The New York Public Library is a running a series of hip-hop-related events through the end of summer, many aimed at teens—though there is programming for all age groups. Find open-mic nights, sticker- and button-making workshops, discussions, storytimes and, on August 5, The Rap-Up & Dance Party NYC at the main branch (dance classes and parties take place the same day at a handful of other branches as well). Don’t forget to score a special-edition library card, featuring art from the landmark movie Wild Style.
