This new work from Aleshea Harris tells the story of Sugarland, a place in the South where three mobile homes stand on a cul-de-sac and its people navigate increasingly difficult stories. While the residents rise daily to practice ritual grief for soldiers lost to war, Sadie reaches out to matriarchal ancestors to find out the truth about her mother.
