Description

December 3 marks the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD). To honor this day, #PurpleLightUp, a global movement led by PurpleSpace, will see buildings in New York City and all over the world illuminated in purple. (Among the participating buildings in the five boroughs are the Javits Center, JFK Tower, One Bryant Park, One Five One, One World Observatory, Pier 17 at Seaport District NYC and The Port Authority.) The movement brings awareness to the economic contribution of the world’s 386 million employees with disabilities and celebrates their talent. #PLU will also feature a 24-hour global broadcast including panel discussions and interviews. Learn more about the movement and how to be an active participant at PurpleSpace.org.
