Queer History Walking Tour of the Lower East Side

Explore the Lower East Side and its queer history, starting with Lillian Wald’s intentional community of women at Henry Street Settlement and ending at Bluestockings Cooperative. Along the way, learn about iconic figures like Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Martin Wong and Alvin Baltrop, who all called the neighborhood home. This tour is a collaboration between Henry Street Settlement and the Close Friends Collective.
