Queer Words, Queer Worlds: Target First Saturdays Pride Celebration

Description

In celebration of Pride month, several LGBTQ+ poets, artists and performers will gather at the Brooklyn Museum for their free monthly art and entertainment event, Target First Saturdays. With a focus on issues facing gay, lesbian, trans, and people of color, the evening will showcase LGBTQ+ artists including the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, conversations with sociologists and historians about the queer experience, a documentary screening of The Revival: Women and the World, and poetry performances by Circle of Voices and Be Steadwell. There will also be spades tournaments and board games, dance-offs, and a drink and draw with live models.
