Rashid Johnson

Chicago-born artist Rashid Johnson works in multiple disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, filmmaking and installation—and he incorporates various materials into his works that are significant to the African-American and African diasporic communities. Chelsea’s Hauser & Wirth gallery presents this exhibition of the artist’s newest works, including his film The Hikers, a ballet that was performed and shot on the side of a mountain in Colorado.
