Raymond Pettibon: A Pen of All Work
This event has already occurred
Description
American artist Raymond Pettibon first made a name for himself in the 1980s, creating posters and album art for punk bands in Southern California—most prominently the logo for Black Flag, which Pettibon’s brother, Greg Ginn, founded. Since then, he’s earned an international following for his drawings depicting American culture from the postwar era up to the present day. This spring the New Museum dedicates three floors to showcasing more than 700 of Pettibon’s works, many of which are rendered with ink on paper and employ bits of subversive text.
