The series kicks off on July 28 with Mario Van Peebles’s New Jack City. Other featured screenings include Reginald Hudlin’s House Party (September 16), which is followed by a panel discussion, and John Singleton’s Poetic Justice (October 6), which features a spoken word showcase with poets from African Peach Arts Coalition.
