With Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman and Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled among them, female-led and -directed films have been box-office highlights this summer. As fall approaches, Nitehawk continues promoting women in film with this aptly named series featuring three indie releases from female filmmakers. Screenings include a new documentary film, The Last Laugh, and brunch showings of narrative features Women Who Kill and Signature Move.
