Description
Iranian-American theater director Reza Abdoh died of AIDS in 1995 at the age of 32. Although his career was short, his impact on the art world was lasting. This large-scale retrospective is highlighted by an installation based on his 1991 project Bogeyman and also includes contextual materials about the club scenes in LA and New York, the Reagan-era culture wars and the AIDS crisis, all of which influenced his work.
