Description
This exhibition of paintings by iconic American artist Norman Rockwell includes some of his most famous works from 1943—Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Fear and Freedom from Want—based on Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s famous Four Freedoms speech. The paintings were Rockwell’s way of driving home FDR’s message at the time and underscoring the importance of defending freedom worldwide. Additionally, the exhibition will include other works by Rockwell and his contemporaries, such as photographs, videos, artifacts, historical documents and interactive displays.
