Roland-Garros in the City

Description

Don’t fret if you can’t make it to Paris for this year’s French Open; the iconic red clay court of Roland-Garros is coming to NYC. The French Tennis Federation will recreate the full-size court in Lower Manhattan, where visitors can view a broadcast of French Open matches and venture onto the court itself for tennis classes and activities. The Parisian experience extends beyond the court, too. Visitors to this free event can sample treats from French food trucks, peruse a gallery of archival Roland-Garros posters and secure a love lock to a replica of the Seine’s Pont des Arts.
