Description
Kehinde Wiley is well known for his exploration of issues around representation, race, gender and power in his portraiture works. This theme continues with the artist's first piece of public art, which was created in response to the national debate surrounding Confederate monuments. Rumors of War, which will be on view in the plaza at Broadway and 46th Street, consists of an African American rider clad in streetwear atop a massive horse.
