Description

Lebanese-American artist Simone Fattal—who was born in Syria and has lived in many cities throughout the world—works primarilry in ceramics, creating pieces that explore history, politics, freedom and feminism. She’s also a film director and the founder and publisher of the Post-Apollo Press, which supports innovative literary work. MoMA presents her first US solo exhibition, which includes more than 100 sculptures, paintings and collages that she’s created over the past 40 years.
