Soka Tira Osoa: Highwire Performance

calendar_month

This event has already occurred

Description

As part of the Down to Earth International Festival of Multidisciplinary Performance in Public Spaces, Seaport Square and Pier 16 will become a stage for the sky in a one-night-only, free-of-charge event, featuring French acrobatic troupe Compagnie Basinga and world-renowned tightrope artist Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga. In Soka Tira Osoa—“pulling the rope”—Cie Basinga reimagines a traditional tug-of-war as an act of collaboration. Artists and volunteer audience members will work together to stabilize the high wire, creating a shared bond of trust and effort.
