This event has already occurred
Description
Summer of Magic is a museum-wide series of displays, public programs and family activities that showcase the collection of illusionist David Copperfield under the theme of the Golden Age of Magic. Among the items on display are Houdini's Metamorphosis Trunk and Milk Can, and a dress worn by Adelaide Herrmann, the Queen of Magic. Also on view is Copperfield's own Death Saw, considered to be his most famous trick. On Saturdays and Sundays from June 23 - August 26, the museum will be home to fortune tellers, escape artist and historical magicians portrayed by Living Historians. For the complete schedule of public programming throughout the summer, visit nyhistory.org.
