Description

With the return of Summer Streets, the City’s signature soundtrack of honking horns and rushing traffic will quiet in parts of all five boroughs so its residents and visitors can walk, bike, run, play and enjoy special programming from 7am to 3pm (in Manhattan) or 9am. to 5pm (in the rest of the boroughs) on designated Saturdays.

Here are the announced streets on their designated dates:

July 25 (Queens and Staten Island)

  • Vernon Boulevard in Queens from 44th Drive to 30th Road

  • Broadway in Staten Island from Richmond Terrace to Harvest Avenue

August 1, 8 and 15 (Manhattan only)

  • Lafayette Street/Fourth Avenue/Park Avenue from Brooklyn Bridge (Manhattan side) to 110th Street

  • 110th Street between Park Avenue and Broadway

  • Broadway between 110th Street and Dyckman Street

  • Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard from 110th Street to 113th Street

August 22 (Brooklyn and the Bronx)

  • Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway will clear from Grand Army Plaza to Buffalo Avenue

  • The Bronx’s Grand Concourse will be open from East Tremont Avenue to Mosholu Parkway
