Summer: The Donna Summer Musical

From “Love to Love You, Baby” to “She Works Hard for the Money,” Donna Summer’s music defined the disco era and beyond. This new Broadway musical follows Summer’s rise, beginning with her debut in a Boston church choir and continuing with her meteoric ascent to the world stage. More than 20 of her hits—"MacArthur Park,” “Hot Stuff” and “I Feel Love” among them—fill this often bittersweet dance-floor extravaganza, which stars three actors portraying the legendary singer at different points in her life. Tony Award winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar) directs.
