The Guggenheim has commissioned works by an intriguing roster of contemporary artists from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan—Chia-En Jao, Kan Xuan, Sun Xun, Sun Yuan and Peng Yu, Tsang Kin-Wah, Yangjiang Group and Zhou Tao—providing a survey of their distinctive approaches to aesthetics and politics, as well as personal and historical narratives, in a range of mediums.
