Description
BAM’s cheeky and playful version of The Nutcracker returns for another holiday season. The original 1890s story is transported to the 1970s, with raging parties, fanciful costumes and an overall extravagant, gender-bending theme. Tchaikovsky’s complete original score is performed, but the rest of this show is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. And we mean that in a good way. Mark Morris Dance Group performs along with their own music ensemble and The Hard Nut Singers.
