Description

Set over the course of a single day in rural Ireland in 1878, The Home Place follows the aftermath of a doctor’s Darwinian-type experiments imposed on a local town. Renowned Irish dramatist Brian Friel (Dancing at Lughnasa) centers this play on a liberal-minded Anglo-Irish landlord and his son—both in love with their housekeeper—who are also the main characters affected by the doctor’s actions.
