The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) celebrates 50 years of bringing visual and performing arts and education to Queens. This exhibition includes works that have appeared in the center’s two galleries, honoring the contributions of JCAL’s artists, educators and cultural leaders. The Miller Gallery touches on the history of the space, with building plans, a timeline and vintage photos. The Community Gallery includes never-before-seen items such as flyers and postcards. Visitors can also view video footage of interviews with prominent figures from the center’s history.
