The Metropolitan Museum of Art celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2020 with the reopening of the newly renovated British Galleries, a centerpiece exhibition taking museumgoers on a journey through the museum’s history known as Making The Met: 1870–2020, gifts of art from around the world, cross-cultural installations and special programming that includes a birthday commemoration on April 13 and a range of public events.
