Screening of The Shattered Mind

Description

Jade Bryan's The Shattered Mind follows Zhane Rain, a Black deaf woman investigating the loss of her hearing, who uncovers secrets kept from her by her family. Bryan, who is Black and deaf, wrote, directed and produced the film, which borrows some biographical details from her life. This screening is presented by the Museum of the Moving Image and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will run from 4:30 to 6:45pm, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker. For accessibility information and to register for tickets, click here.
