This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal
This event has already occurred
Description
For what would have been Henry David Thoreau’s 200th birthday, the Morgan Library & Museum celebrates the American essayist with a comprehensive exhibition featuring nearly 100 items—the most prized of which is a journal he kept throughout his life. Other items include notebooks, letters, manuscripts, books from his personal library and the only two photographs that the author of Walden and “Civil Disobedience” ever sat for.
