Tiny Beautiful Things

Description

This is the second engagement of this emotionally revelatory production at the Public Theater after a successful recent run. Before her best-selling memoir, Wild, hit shelves, Cheryl Strayed spent two years as an advice columnist, dispensing counsel to the lovelorn, grieving and others under the nom de plume Sugar. This production looks back at the call-and-response between her advice-offering alter ego and those requesting her insights. Academy Award nominee Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), who also co-adapted the play from the book it’s based on, reprises the role of Sugar. It's directed by Tony Award winner Thomas Kail (Dry Powder, Hamilton).
