Turner’s Modern and Ancient Ports: Passages Through Time
This event has already occurred
Description
The Frick owns a couple of major J.M.W. Turner paintings of ports: Harbor of Dieppe and Cologne, The Arrival of a Packet-Boat: Evening. This exhibition puts those pieces into context with around 35 additional works—mainly oils and watercolors that depict harbor scenes from various countries. Find images of Rome, Carthage and Brest, all rendered with that famous Turner light.
