We Chose to Go to the Moon
This event has already occurred
Description
Carnegie Hall presents two performances of the multimedia We Chose to Go to the Moon that are timed to Apollo 11's launch (July 16) and the lunar landing (July 20). This show is part of John Monsky's American History Unbound series, which unifies music, narration and multimedia. Performers in this two-night engagement include Shonica Gooden (Cats, Hamilton), Adam Kantor (The Band’s Visit, Fiddler on the Roof) and David St. Louis (Side Show, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) singing space-related songs. On July 16, Mark and Kali Armstrong, Neil Armstrong’s son and granddaughter, will do a rendition of “Flight of Fancy,” a song dedicated to Armstrong.
